About Mr. Williams

Born and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana, Eddie C. Williams has a deep-rooted commitment to Equality. After graduating from Southern University in 1983, Eddie moved to Lakehurst New Jersey to pursue his engineering career where he worked for one year at the Naval Air Engineering Center.  Wanting to move closer to home, he then relocated to Austin Texas where he worked for three years at the Federal Aviation Administration as a Navigational Aids and Communication Systems engineer.  Eddie then relocated to the Naval Aviation Depot, Pensacola Florida where he worked for seven years as an Armament Systems Engineer.  In 1993, the Base Realignment and Closure Commission targeted NADEP Pensacola for closure.  Eddie relocated to Orlando, Florida and worked at the NAVAIR -  Training Systems Division (NAVAIR - TSD); formally known as Naval Air Warfare Center, as a Lead Project/Systems Engineer. 

 While employed at NAVAIR - Orlando,  Eddie also served on the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Committee and served as committee chair for the first and second annual NAVAIR - TSD Cultural Awareness Observances.

 In February 1995, Eddie began working for 1^st Heritage Mortgage Corporation as a Mortgage Broker along with Donna E. Green. Prior to working at 1^st Heritage along with Donna, Eddie’s concept of a home loan was limited to the few financing options offered by most banks or Credit Unions.  Teaming up with 1^st Heritage’s most knowledgeable broker was a blessing and a tremendous asset, in a short period of time Eddie and Donna helped numerous people realize their dream of homeownership.

 In a continuing effort to better serve the community and offer greater financing options, Eddie and Donna established Home Foundation Mortgage Corporation in 1998.  Eddie continued to work at NAVAIR during the day and work at Home Foundation evenings and weekends until he completed his transition in February 2003.
